Delivering a complex, multi-functional, highly accessible website for an outstanding hospice.

We engaged with Ashgate Hospice as they were embarking on a rebrand, and ready to transform their suite of websites, promoting their events, encouraging fundraising and giving vital information to those in need of advice, support or clinical end of life care.

Powerful, goal oriented design for charities

Fundraising is key for non-profit and charity brands, so it was very important for us to design and develop a bespoke, user friendly donation system that would allow Ashgate to take monthly and one-off donations with ease. We also wanted to make sure powerful tracking was in place, and the ability to set up custom campaign pages to encourage seasonal donations.

Shops and cafe listings

Among the many features the new website had to handle was informing visitors about the wide range of shops and cafes Ashgate provide. We built custom map applications to help people search for local shops and get key information without hassle.

Accessible service pages and information hierarchy design

Ashgate provide a lot of clinical and support services for their patients and loved ones. We designed a bespoke resource centre that allows Ashgate to manage their own resource centre, housing articles, documents, podcasts and video content to provide vital informational support.

Designed for constant, iterative improvement

It is vitally important for a site of this nature to provide information and utility for all, regardless of disability or age. We have built to exacting standards, and also embed AB tests and exit surveys so that we can monitor what works well and what needs improvement. We work ongoing with Ashgate, providing design and technical support, so the website continually improves over time.
