Adventures into minimalism with Field Day

Having the chance to work on one of our favourite festivals is always a treat. We’ve worked on Field Day 2019 and 2020, taking their incredible brand identity and creating a slick, minimal, effortless site filled with hot marquees and subtle animations.

Modular design, everything is connected

We designed Field Day in easy-to-adapt, modular segments, so the content team could create and curate their own custom page layouts with ease. This meant they had a website that could start off small, with a simple announcement of the event, that grew as the promo-cycle went on, evolving into info pages, posters, artist A-Zs, schedules, maps and stage breakdowns as the event drew near.

Working with Project Simply has been a breath of fresh air from start to finish! Friendly team, efficient, organised, creative, helpful and fast.
Lucy Whitehead, Field Day

The familiar paper white brand aesthetic was adapted to softer tones for 2020, but the design and brand remained intact.

We build sites that can connect to any ticket platform

Custom ticket pages for this project used a bespoke tier release concept that allowed for staggered pricing throughout the promo cycle of the event. We hooked up to their ticketing partner Kaboodle, providing simple links through to the booking process.

Dark mode light mode

At night, Field Day transformed into late sessions. To mirror this we created an inverse design concept, with stark black backgrounds and neon lines producing a sense of dank adventure and mystery.
